Bill’s journey with Sailfish began in 2006, when he purchased his 206 Center Console from his dealer in Morehead City. Bill was drawn to its solid build, simplicity, and practical design the moment he laid eyes on it. The adventures soon began – starting in bays of Virginia Beach to the crystal-clear waters of the Florida Keys, Bill’s Sailfish has proven that it’s built to last.

Though some might think a boat bought nearly two decades ago would be showing its age by now, Bill's Sailfish remains in remarkable condition—a testament to Sailfish's commitment to quality craftsmanship. The hardware, T-top, and even the original upholstery held up after nearly two decades of exposure to the elements. In fact, the only significant update Bill has made is replacing the trailer. 

While new models might offer the latest tech, Bill’s boat, equipped with its original electronics and navigation package, continues to serve him well. He has no desire for unnecessary gadgets when the core of what makes his Sailfish special is still intact: its reliability, ease of use, and enduring functionality.

Bill’s Sailfish has not only stood up to his myriad adventures but has also transitioned with him through various life changes. After spending most of his life in Virginia Beach, Bill relocated to the Florida Keys following the shift to remote work. His Sailfish was an essential part of that transition, making the move with him to continue its role in his outdoor lifestyle.

Even better, Bill’s 206 has given him 18 years of great memories with his sons. “My oldest son was only six years old when I bought the boat - so he’s never not known it,” Bill says. “It’s given us many opportunities to get out on the water and come home safely together. We have gone offshore when nobody else was going. We went cobia fishing one evening recently and stayed out in the roughest water conditions. The boat just handled it!”

Bill’s boat, which has seen countless fishing trips, father-son outings, and solo adventures, remains at the heart of his new life in the Florida Keys. Its versatility has allowed him to explore new waters, from snorkeling off Alligator Reef to fishing off the coast of Key Largo. Despite the years and changes, his Sailfish has been the one constant, proving it’s a boat that transcends time and adapts to new adventures.
