THE NEW SAILFISH 312 CENTER CONSOLE CHECKS ALL THE BOXES

10/11/2022

CAIRO, Ga. (October 11, 2022) — Looking for the boat that checks all the boxes? Look no further than Sailfish Boats’ new 312 Center Console. An incredible running surface for fuel efficiency and ride comfort – check. Construction materials and manufacturing processes that ensure a solid and stable boat – check. A boat with striking appearance, space and safety – check. Ergonomically laid out for ease of use, whether fishing or just enjoying a day out on the water – check. The new Sailfish Boats 312 CC has everything you need, exactly where you need it.

Like all Sailfish models, it starts with the hull. The 312 CC sits on the 6th-generation Variable Degree Stepped (VDS) hull. This three-hulls-in-one platform provides the perfect balance of stability and performance, whether at rest or slogging through chop. The deepest of the three “steps” has a steep 24-degree entry-point angle designed to peel open the water aggressively, providing a uniquely effortless ride experience on deck. The second surface is positioned at a slightly shallower angle of 23 degrees, enabling air to flow efficiently under the hull. This aeration ensures less friction and brings a welcomed higher rate of fuel economy. Finally, the third and outermost stepped surface is positioned at a flatter 22 degrees, enhancing stability at rest. In practical terms, this means riders will feel less rocking in big rollers, and probably won’t get those dreaded sea legs after battling prize game. The performance and ride of the 312 is powered by either twin Mercury 300 or 350 Verado engines or twin Yamaha F300’s.

Enhancing the impressive ride characteristics of VDS is Sailfish’s Sailtech construction process. Sailtech represents the synergy of a building philosophy and the materials used to construct the boat. Sailtech provides built-in quality, strength, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing your boat can withstand whatever rigors you endure while working to land your next catch. Sailtech uses materials including Kevlar, carbon fiber and quad axile fiberglass mat and Trevira to ensure the strength, quality and durability boaters need when fishing offshore or caught in gnarly conditions.

Like most things, appearance catches your eye first. The 312 is no different. The boat’s striking stance, in or out of the water, its majestic and timeless sheer line and gentle bow flare are all true characteristics of Sailfish.

Moving inside the boat, the beauty, functionality, ergonomics and comfort take center stage. First thing you notice when you step into the 312, is the amount of room to move around. Look at its cockpit depth—one of, if not the largest in its class—the depth ensures safety, comfort and a feeling of expansiveness. Lean against the coaming pads, and you will notice how secure you feel. Move forward and sit down in the bow and notice how your torso sits fully and comfortably inside. Then look in and step down in the head and feel the perfect amount of headroom. The electric marine head (7.5-gal holding tank and overboard discharge) sink and large tinted window forward allows abundant sunlight to fill the head area, making the space feeling even larger than it is. As a result of Sailfish’s foam filled stringer grid design, at just over 6-feet tall, the 312 has one of the tallest head rooms in its class. The 312 is full of space.

Speaking of space and openness, the 312 has an expansive cockpit. Built with a fishing focus, the cockpit is huge with a 9’ 9” beam, recessed fold-out 40-inch bench seat in the transom and a 34-inch bench tucked away in the starboard gunnel for complete side to side fishing action, two large in-floor fish boxes, standard with two livewells (30 and 32- gallons). The cockpit easily converts from fishing prowess to the ideal entertainment platform with the fold-out cockpit seating benches, a cockpit table (found in the optional entertainment package), and cup holders everywhere you turn.

Moving amidship, the large console and leaning post are designed for the captain and mate to be in command and comfort. The dash is conveniently laid out for easy access to all switches. The trim tab buttons and engine throttle levers align—you do not have to take your hand off the throttle to engage and use the trim tabs—each can be done simultaneously. Ergonomics continue with a large dash surface that easily accommodate up to two 12-inch GPS monitors. The leaning post comes standard with a 32-gallon livewell, built in tackle storage, sink and plenty of dedicated drawer storage.

The bow is another great fishing or entertaining space aboard the 312. Its noteworthy, raised deck platform doubles as bow seats when the cushions are installed, meanwhile the insulated fish boxes double as a cooler. The standard thru-hull windless with remote is easily accessible with the hinged filler board.

Additional ease, access and comfort are provided by multiple USB charging ports, conveniently tucked away nooks to store a phone, six cup holders and self-rising, leveractuated back rests make the bow the perfect place for any action – fishing or relaxing.

The new Sailfish 312 CC is that boat, that checks all the boxes.

Sailfish Boats will be hosting a press event at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show on Wednesday, October 26th at 3:30p in their display, Booth #2071, at the Broward County Convention Center.
